Full Body Respray

Postby briencrean » Mon Dec 29, 2008 10:33 pm

Has anyone any idea of how much it would cost for a full respray?

The bodywork has a few dents and deep scratches that were caused when in the possession of the previous owner. These will obviously have to be filled in also.

As a result almost all panels are affected!

My FTO is Pyreness Black and I want to keep the colour.

Is there a bodyshop/car sprayer you would recommend?

Yeah brian, dermot out on the roundabout before the ennis road dual carraigeway is very good. I was quoted roughly 3 k. He has the proper kit, oven and everything. If you want his number pm me.

Thanks Laura

That sounds a little pricey for me though. I still have some engine work to be done and was hoping to pay around 1,500EUR for a decent paint job.

I would imagine for 3K the paint job would be showroom quality?

I seriously doubt you could get a decent full body respray undertaken for 1500 quid (unless the panel beater is a friend of yours). As per Laura, 2.5 - 3k is the going rate for a full respray.

Brian, not going to happen, simple as that. Unless you want a s**t job done, of course.

If you can find a body shop that will be happy to trust you doing that properly there probably would be, but chances are most garages would insist on doing that themselves I reckon!
