1st Choice for parts

Postby fatboyfat7 » Sat Sep 13, 2008 1:21 pm

Came across this website 1st choice. you enter the part you need and they pass the details on to breakers and yards etc and you get e-mailed back quotes etc. Got a quote for a manual box for £293. Includes delivery and VAT and a 1 month warranty. Seems great but I'm worried it might be a scam. The scrapyard who gave me that are A & C Salvage and they do have their own website but its nothing entirely convincing. Maybe Im jus being paranoid. Anyone ever used one of these sites before?

I used either this site or something very similar before to get a window motor for an MX3. It sends out your request to a load of breakers, so its really about the breakers reliability. But my own one-off experience was very good, correct part, good price, and speedy delivery.

Did you try
- ricerocket (http://www.ricerocketuk.co.uk/)
- japco (http://www.japco.co.uk/)
- smc (http://www.spmotor.co.uk/)

for comparison?

tried Japco and Ricerocket but was more onto them about Conversion kits rather than just the box. Im delighted with the price tbh. Very handy service to have too provided it does what it says on the tin...
