Hi Blankmann,

Unless it has some mad aftermarket system on it an FTO shouldn't be super loud.

If it still has the standard exhaust it's likely that there's a leak (common problem) probably around the front of the rear section, or the rear of the center section..have a good look around...Luckily replacement parts/upgrades aren't super expensive..

Personally - I'm a big fan of the Blueflame duplex system..

It looks good
It sounds good (it's louder than standard of full pelt...but I dont think in a bad way)
It wont rust

Ricerocket will also be able to help you

If you're looking for something as close to standard as you will ever get both mongoose and blueflame offer the "twin oval" option..
If you have spare cash and you're mucking about with the exhaust I'd look at getting a set of new downpipes as well.

First off welcome to the club. Secondly if your after a quiet-ish exhaust I can recommend the blue flame twin oval, I have it on mine. Its good because at low revs its fairly quite and then at higher revs can be a little raspier (not too loud but will still get you noticed 8) ) I would prefer something a little louder myself. I met up with mitsumaniac (another member here) and he had the quad exhaust which has a much deaper roar. Dont know how loud is too loud for you but I think a quad might be a little bit louder than you would like. The best thing to do would be to come to a meet if possible and hear what the different exhausts sound like and se what you'd prefer. Dont rush buying something, wait till you get to a meet and go from there. You could even organise one yourself which would be a good way of meeting a few members too.
Where are you from? Depending on what part of the country your in this should be easy enough to do. Alternatively try youtube there are a few FTO videos on there that would give you an indication of what some of the exhausts would sound like.

Yes... I love my quad :D though, I`ve fitted the cat back on it and it`s much ear-friendly inside now

Blankmannn - if you want I have stainles steel Miltek middle and back section. It was fitted to my car when I bought it and it was just a bit louder than standard, I`d say similar to Mongoose. It`s for GPX so the pipe is 3" not 2.5" but you always can weld the flange from your old middle section and it`ll do the job :smt002 I did it on my 1st FTO

If you want seat covers try ricerocket.co.uk they are arond the €300 mark iirc. Or there is a guy on ebay selling them at £170 or best offer. Cant vouch for the quality of his but I was chatting to an FTOOC member who bought them and he said he was chuffed with his. He said the pic on ebay makes them look very baggy but he got his to look a perfect fit but spent a few hours to get them looking right.
There was a guy doing real leather re-trims for €1200 if real leather is what your after. Think they were called Nolan Auto Care and are in dublin.

I love your quad too, it made me want one. Not saying theres anything wrong with it, it just might be a little loud for blankmann's taste.
