What's it worth?

I went to look at an FTO with my cousin last night.
A '97 prefacelift manual GPX with 70K, the bumper has had a bad respray but she's straight and sounds well.

We took it for a drive and it seems fine, it comes with two sets of alloys (16 & 17) has TC, a scorpion alarm, is taxed and just passed the NCT.

It's in need of a good polish but the bodywork is perfect, it's not advertised anywhere but I'll try to get some pics to put up.

The guy asked 8K but dropped to 7 after five minutes, I was thinking more along the lines of 5.5 to 6... any thoughts?

My old Manual GPX FTO is up for sale with a 5K asking price - if you could knock him down a few hundred (to pay for the bad respray on the rear bumper) then it would be a solid buy.

I'd be looking to pay closer to 6K for a 97 prefacelift mivec manual.

I'm thinking under €6k based on what similar cars have sold for.

I don't see that a car like that would be worth too much more than Shane's purely because it's an 11 year old car as opposed to a 13 year old car. I mean, it's not even a facelift. probably doesn't have dual airbags or ABS?
