I cant believe this car is so hard to sell, I have not received one call/email about it!!

Are people not buying the older ones anymore? Surly there's still some market for the 1.8's?
I don't think the price is too high, as its a very well looked after car.

Has anyone any idea why? Is the price too high?

o got my 97 gpvr manual for 1400. madness but true.it did need work but its a mi-vec manual and he couldnt sell it for a year.

I think Marie's GPX is up for 1000? The market is just in a terrible position at the moment, great value for people buying though.
And, hope you don't mind me saying, but the Tip and GS are not strong selling points.
I do wish you luck with the sale, but I'm afraid to say it'll be a tough sale whatever the price.

ps, just an observation, but the ad looks good. Good photos and good detail in the description. Hard to do much more.

I can see why the GS's arent as popular - tho there was a time when the 1.8's made more then the 2 ltrs !! I guess any one who really likes FTO's now will go the whole hog and get a Mivec. And as optical illusion said, they are difficult to insure these days too...
Such a shame, my poor fto needs a good home soon!

1.8 is taxed as 1.9 and all ftos are hard to insure, tip less popular than manual,
Silver, black, white or red more sought after than navy

It's gonna be a hard sale but I'd the cars in home enough condition it'll find a home

Not sure I'd agree with that, but that's just my personal opinion. As compared to the highly sought after "Rare manual", there are some genuinely rare colours out there!

I originally preferred the Silver myself, but the navy really grew on me, its got a nice brighter blue metallic look in the sun light.

@ belfastman - I would probably have thought twice if I had known they were hard to sell. Especially cause she is in good nick, thing is I got the new car too soon!
I actually did think of keeping it, but it would wouldn't get much use and its gotta be driven, right
