TV stands

Postby CJ » Thu Dec 21, 2006 3:54 pm

I'm looking for a funky TV stand for a 42" plasma, the glass ones knocking about the various electrical outlets aren't much to look at, anyone know somewhere with a bit of variety?

CJ I searched for ages in shops and online for a nice stand for mine and I haven't found one that I like that doesnt cost the earth. Tehre are a few nice ones here http://www.triskom.co.uk/productthumb.a ... ds&subcat= but they're a bit pricy!

I've decided at this stage to just hang it on the wall in one of the alcoves on one of the brackets that allow you to swivel it out when you watch it and put it back in when not (even that's €400) , and then put in two 'glass shelves underneath it against the wall to hold the digibox and the dvd player with all the wires hidden in a neat 'attractive' metal conduit going up the centre.

Pricy is right! I ended up getting one of the black glass yokes from Power City - unoriginal but effective nonetheless.

I'm looking at getting hold of one of these stands meself at the moment (and a telly to go with it of course! )... even sale prices for these stands seem saucy enough.

Did anyone else notice that in the sales particular tvs are exactly the same price everywhere? :?

Ah sure it's all price fixing all over the place..

If you want a bargain telly go to eBay.de.. you wont get the brand name but get one that uses a branded planel and you'll be allright..

Am considering getting one myself - having just sold my laptop I could swap it for a lovely 42"..Oh the posibilities.
