Welcome Andy,

By front pipe do you mean the air intake pipe or the exhaust downpipe?

If air intake pipe did you check that you didn't knock anything out of line or break any wires - e.g. stepper motor or engine temperature sensor - both located under the intake pipe.

Presume you also disconnected the battery to reset ECU after you changed the pipe.

Have you checked Error codes? What code if any?

Thank you. Yes it the downpipe that I have changed. And the only thing that has happened is that the 4 wires are apart [lambda sensor?]. Tried to put them back together but still does not start!

Can you elaborate Andy? When you say that the four wires are apart, is that to say that the lambda was damaged at some point during the swap out?

Suggest you undertake a diagnostic test to see what sensors are showing up as faulty, see here:

I dropped the front pipe as I disconnected it and it pulled the wires apart. I have tried every combination to re connect them but nothing happens. The car worked 100% before I changed the pipe. It does fire everytime, but will not run.

Well theres only supposed to be 4 wires there - one of them has to be power, the other signal and the last two (black I think) are the sensors.
If you've wired them incorrectly its likely the engine will run in "safe mode". TBH you can buy a universal lamda sensor off ebay for around 20-30 Euros so you may be better off going down that road - http://cgi.ebay.ie/BN-Universal-3-Wire- ... dZViewItem

Otherwise Steelroe may have a second hand part or Ricerocket or Camskill will sell OE parts.

Thank you. Will the sensor not wired stop the car from running? The engine will not run at all, just fire. I have a Hyundai amica on my drive that does exactly the same thing! And a 635CSI which will not fire at all, I am an electrical nightmare. The diagnostic code item looks awesome, cant wait to try it tomorrow.

This may be the case Andy - I've never personally pulled off my lambda sensor to find out! :P
