Sticking Indicator

Postby Dave1971 » Sat May 01, 2010 12:04 am

I have noticed that mine left hand side indicator won`t switch off, even when i press the stalk the opposite way its still indicating on the left hand side. The hazard lights work okay, does anybody have a idea what could be causing this I must add that i removed the stalk and its still happening..

Are you sure or is that a guess, as i have heard that it could be related to the hazard switch.

would it be the plastic/nylon switch at the end of the indicator stick that activates the indicator just worn down, happens in most cars , play around with the indicator stick and see if thats the case .

The switch appear okay, had a look inside and the nylon switch appears to be working fine. I located the relay which controls this and its switching like it should do, don`t really know what else it could be as its only just started now.
