almost 3 degress caster mod was set on progress is being made and its going on still we will be finished by friday or saturday. In the garage they have moded all circuit levins and they turn really good...and actually this car is meant for curves.

Tomorrow we will be looking at the ultra racing Malaysian bars Im really happy I got a very good deal on them.

Are those bars for a roll cage ?

Hope you're not planning to roll it over - surely not after all your work ?

Dear Friends,
Write to mr. William Wong : "PRO RACER ONLINE" <ebayprosound@gmail.com>, He ships world wide and have every part in the catalog found at the official utra racing website.
He is 100% legit and makes good deal with those bars. They fit like a glove to the FTO chasis.

Never seen that sort of a cage before, its a full stability rack so I take it? Like strengthening the whole chassis as opposed to putting in a strut bar front and back which only stabilises part of the car? Looks like it would be a valuable piece of material for a track car.

Aye, best kept for track use.
I had a brace on the front underside of the car, the roads here made short work of it though

Hi I found this strut bars on ebay. I bought the front top strut bar a while a go and all the other bars got here yesterday.
Its no a cage actually they keep the chassis together when confronting a curve. You always get pull out of the curve when you are on a turn, chassis also gets pulled out so this keeps it together for better turning. Im not only interested in going fast on a straight line we plan going very fast on curves.

I recommend this bars and this dealer to all of you.

Best,
J

We should be fitting this tomorrow or so we plan to start the car friday or monday. Ill film it and upload it for sure.

Finally with the quaife LSD fitted and the diet this car has been and will be put on it deserved its Version R spoiler.
Custom broke the fiber because they opened it with scissor or something any way its an original spoiler that I finally have in my hands. This wing will be like new in no time.
This car came in as a GPX and is getting out a better than a Version R.

Just looking at your suspension setup because I have the same which I'm refurbing at the moment.
It looks like you have the front springs on upside down.
The helper spring should be on top in the front, and underneath in the rear.

The vR spoiler is nice alright, but given that you are putting the car on a diet, would you consider going spoilerless altogether? Can really suit some cars.

What are you planning in terms of exterior styling?

Hi mate.
Look i always wanted a versionR so i made one, the spoiler is the cherry on my project its the most vanal and just for looks stuff, there are less than 10 ftos in all Peru so its a way of distinguishing wich is the real racing fto on the street. And the more important reason we want to put it because we love it. :) dont mind the weight wich is pactically none we will make 70% of the car with
thin fiber glass so we will substract 50-100kg lets hope. I might put special thin plastic windos an take like 30kg off.
Back in the day we took aroung 60kg tol. We will kill backseats and set un a roll bar with a bar that protects the doors incase of a side crash.
Anyway we will try to keep it on 900kg thats the mark we want.

This car is not for drag racing its for circuit, Autocross, time attack. Don you think a wing might help on aerodynamics tooo?

That's the best reason for it, all these things are personal taste really, and in my opinion, of all the spoilers available, the vR is one of the nicest.

I'm not sure how effective the wing would be for aerodynamics, generally people only put them on for aesthetic reason, but I'd love to know if the vR one is a proper "working" wing?

You made the spoiler? Good job! Shape is spot on. And I'd agree that its the best spoiler for the FTO, good choice.

Thanks a lot i already undestood what you mean yes we did set the like this on purpose. Since we adapted pillow mounts and not using the original. So we didnt have a guide to set it like in the manual. we could of had set the susp. even with out that helper coil or springs. They way its set know due to the mod will keep the two coils in place...if we could of had place it as tein sais with the mods it wouldn last for 1 day on the road.
i dont know how to explain in but we use same setting on moded susp.with lama competion levins they turn like bikes and they havent had problems with it. If you dont get me ill try to explain in another way.

I am really thankful for taking the time to watch my journal i hope you keep cheking and commenting on my posts.

Regards

Strange, the brake fluid reservoir is on the opposite side on my engine bay. Or did you move it there yourself cause I notice the fuse box is also in a different position.

Good stuff.
Given the amount (and quality) of the work so far I thought it might have been part of your mod, better to be sure though.

That was my first thought but I wouldnt have thought the location of items in the engine bay would have made a difference with the conversion, unless the cables wouldnt reach or something?

Hi friends, Im in trouble I need a frontal windshield. In Peru every car has to go once a year to a technical exam and everything must work perfectly in order to pass and to drive your car on the street.
I can take care of the exhaust emissions for this once a year event but I need a windshield because mine is broken.

What can I do?

Can you ship from someone who is breaking an FTO in Australia or New Zealand? I know its a long distance but it might be cheaper than buying a new one and the wait to get it from a dealer in Peru. I would imagine to get one off an ordinary company would be hard to find and maybe expensive too? Or is there any other FTOs in Peru that you know that you could 'borrow' a windscreen for the exam?
