GPvR seats

Postby optical illusion » Mon Jan 26, 2009 1:25 pm

How hard and expensive would it be to get proper covers for the seats again do you think? The part that supports your back looks like it's just a zip off job...

It's something I'd love to do someday, they are beginning to show they're age a bit and are frayed in some places. They'd have to be the real thing on course, logo and all included...

Pretty hard and very expensive. Would be cheaper and easier to get a set of leather \ leatherette covers made up.

Going on Toyota prices for a Yaris... the cushion part that you sit on - the cover alone is €300, that's half a seat.

From a main dealer even if they still stocked them, you'd be looking at thousands.

How about buying a new set of seats, from a breaker or second hand? Just make sure the rails fit, and if its out of an FTO then they will.

GPVR seats are ultra rare.

That said, there's an FTO for sale somewhere (might be carzone) with mismatching seat backs and cushions. if you had some standard seats they might swap.

If you can zip off the covers, could you not use them as a template to make a set yourself. I assume you can use a needle and thread.. ?

*runs..*

if you want to but the covers from Mitsubsihi dealer, they were a snap the last time I price them, for the front seats almost €3000. Of course I ordered a couple of sets. That was approx 2 years ago
