Removing side windows - how?

Postby Muad_dib77 » Wed Sep 10, 2008 9:44 am

Ho Guys,

Does anybody here know how to remove the wee triagular windows on the side of the car?

(apart from using a hammer!)

I'm actually taking it even further than that..

there's a bit of a panic rush on at the moment to get her ready.. due to unforseen circumstances my car isn't finished yet but I know my painter pulled an all-nighter last night to give me the best shot at having her ready for friday evening..

I'm wanting to remove the glass but safely as I don't have any spare ones lying about so the end result will be better paint wise.. we've had the inner panels off but didn't find any screws or removeable parts to pop the windows out..it would appear that they're glued in place..

I'm tempted to post a picture...

The grand unveiling might be in shape of me sheepishly walking across from the B&B stating that we've arrived in the OPC.. :-(

I'll use rollers to paint the car at this stage if it helps speed up the process..

took about 1 h to safely remove 1 but the other one cracked .
so if it's possible work away without removal!!

It could still be two tone - you never know..

Was seriosuly considering leaving the rear bumper black.. the cracks in the paint gave it a nice textured look that I was really fond of :-)

Seb -> thanks for confirming that for me..
