I need new front speakers

My old front speakers are cracked, old and noisey. What kind of speakers can I replace them with?

They're too small bogins, 16.5cm speakers will be a direct swap.

Are you talking about the speakers in the door or the speakers in the dash? (next to the bottom of the a-pillars)

16.5cm would fit in the doors, but you'd need small ones for the dash, not sure of the exact size offhand.

there are tweeters on some models where the demister for the side windows is. they are covered with black material.

As far as I know there were 3 speaker setups available in the FTO. I think 2 of these packages have tweeters and 1 doesn't.
From what I've seen some FTO's have 6*9's fitted standard in the rear (Seb's had judging by the fact that Fusion 6*9's with bulky tweeters fitted no problem) - and some had circular rear speakers ( and a restrictive deep plastic grid under the speaker mesh -like mine had) it's hard to fit most 6*9's to these cars - I ended up hacking the plastic grid off mine.

I think you need to fit crossovers if you're putting aftermarket tweeters into an FTO.
