I'm getting frustrated here....... .........wife is meeting her old workmates this morning for 'brunch' (organised since the dawn of time!!!!!) so I can't get to the motor show with the club (have a young kid to mind and teenagers that need a permenant f*&^ing taxi service), .....AND she's in college the weekend after next.......so can't go to that meet

Ahhhhhhhhh The responsibilities of being an old fart!!!!! I should have bought a sprots car when I was younger! ...............I'll just curl up here with a nice cup of horlicks and watch an old western on the telly untill I fall asleep.

Big thanks to all who turned up, we had a decent enough turnout with 6 FTOs. The show itself wasn't too bad, I always come out if the RDS a bit dissapointed after these events, but there were a few interesting bits and pieces worth checking out. The 'cruising4pussy' FTO wasn't much too behold, while a lot of work had gone into it, it was a bit rough around the edges, way too gaudy for my taste anyway. After seeing the lack of body kit stands at the show, I reckon that myself and Wavin could go into partnership and produce some serious kits for display at next years show, soil pipe is such a versitile material you know! Remember Wavin hurleys in the 80s? If they can make hurls out of Wavin, think what they could do for automotive body styling? (OK enough - you had to be there )

I'll try and get a few pics up on the site (my camera died on me - if you took any pics that day, zip 'em up and send 'em on), In the meantime, click on the pic below to enlarge:



Anyway, it was good to put some faces to names, lets see if we can get some interest going for Overdrive later in in the month.

Enjoyed the meet, good to actually meet people I've 'seen' on the forum the last 8 months. Arrived home about 11 I think, so a good sleep last night but well worth it!

Was just browsing the crusing4pussy site and i defenitely think this is the best angle to look at their FTO im thinking of going for this type of photo for my own car if mark would like to volunteer as photographer ill model !

I've got scouts keeping an eye on building sites for 9" offcuts, no point in investing in a 6M lenght when I only need a foot of the stuff...

In the mean time, I've done a mock up design of my next Wavin project, I'm sure Mark won't mind me using his motor as a demo car at the next motor show, check it out here.

Well there was talk about it on Saturday, sure the weather is perfect at the moment for getting the bikini out and hopping up onto the bonnet for a few classy shots

The advanced acustic properties of the wavin make the fto sound like a 17 year old fiat 127 with a hole in the manifold so its all good!

Old fiats can be quite funky (the 126 anyway). If you haven't already, check out this post by Kace.

Lads, lets not get ahead of ourselves here, I'm still working on the Wavin baffles, I've found that with a cat-bypass in place, the exhaust takes on a note similar to 17 toilets being flushed simultaneously, while its unique in itself, this is not the image that we want to link with one of the most versitile materials known to man. Next up @ Wavin Motorsport Developments : swapping out the tip box and replacing it with an 'AJ'
