I would assume that the standard Lancer has the same floorpan.
No idea where you'd find it though. I'm guessing bodyshops have access to this stuff.

More or less this is what I want to do, but I would rather have a look at blueprint first to have the idea how much work would this involve.

Would be great if you could post those Danny. With the drop in price of cars like ftos and evos its not as crazy a prospect as before :-)

ill add the pic's soon. as for prices of cars.. well we used a 1.3 colt that had an engine gone,as the shell. and a 97 evo that was crashed but engine and drive gear were fine. it would be really the only way, it would cost to must to buy to good cars.

will add work pics on this soon, there on diff pc.

The links are to other links only. Nevermind, I will find it. Thanks anyway Mr. B
@ Danny
I have FTO 1.8, so the only thing I need is crashed EVO now :). I will be looking for one in Dec/Jan when I have cash.
Need a piece of advice here. Would be cheaper to buy crashed EVO or just engine and drivetrain/suspension??

You said "we"..

..care to elaborate?

have you set up your own shop? or are you still operating under the guise of being a german car enthusiast?

i do alot of my own work but im not that good.

i still work in vw. its is 1 of the mechanics projects.the whole idea started when his brother crashed the evo.got banned off the road for years,so he bought a 97 colt and started this idea of colt evo for a track car.now i think everyone had a hand in helping with it.in some way or another, fitting roll cage, rear diff mountings, wiring, turbo boost control.alot of work done.it was taking down to a shell and rebuilt.

im getting pic e.mailed soon.
we looked at my fto and it is almost the same. so we think it can be done. i think i seen fto evo somewhere on the net.

Thanks Danny
Helpful pics, I actually expected fabrication to be more complicated than that, what scartes me now is the electronics, but as all is mitsubishi made there should not be major problems, can there???? (please elaborate if you can).

Yet :)
thanks again
