Brought my FTo back to NCT yesterday. The lights passed this time but the emissions were still too high. Even with 'Red Lining' it, dip-taining it and using valve cleaners and having the garage look at it, it still failed!! I was really annoyed at the supervisor down there and all he said was that Mirages and FTO's sometimes have to come back loads of times because of this problem!!!
My CO emissions dropped from 0.80% to 0.53% this time. The garage are taking it back again and bringing it to an exhaust specialist, but I dont need this kind of stress. More time down the drain. Looking at the previous forum I see it could be the cat, but I would'nt of thought a 97 car with low mileage would cause so much trouble.
Any Suggestions?
