One has to question how much it must have cost to produce this Ad ??? While meantime they are making their workers redundent at their production facilities :x If you were considering buying a civic, would a gimmickey advert like this really sway your decision?? Can't help but feel that this money could have been better spent :k

Really cannot stand the sight of any form of honda civic. No offense to anyone here that may have had one but i think they are the biggest chav car on the road...The amount of little boy racers driving around in the old models that think they are the sh*t have completely tainted anything new they may bring out...

I wouldnt even take a lift anywhere in one....

Thats part of the reason its practically impossible to get insurance on anything with 'Type R' written on it.
I sort of like the last 2 models they brought out in hatchback form, especially the second last one, that had a nice shape. And the coupes are kinda nice also, old style ones.
I think civic drivers (and all drivers really) are in 2 groups;
1 - Those who drive quick nice cars and respect them
2 - Those who think they drive quick nice cars and dont respect them.
Its a general thing in the car owning world unfortunately, its the lads with stickers and badges displaying 'Type R', 'V-Tec', 'Mi-Vec', and my own personal hatred, 'Midnight Club', or whatever, and then with back discs instead of calipers, and pure and utter rust buckets, that put the whole lot of us down. The amount of times I've been challenged by someone driving a Cynos, or Levin, or another car that if I wanted I could hammer, but I'll just let them off.
Its the lads who drive Supra TTs, 350Z's, Skyline GTR's, they're the ones who dont drive like lunatics and who respect they're cars because they're actually worth something and they love them, same as we do ours.
And thats my thought for today.

Thats some good thinking there Dragonheart.

Civics and honda in general seem to be the biggest loser when it comes to having idiots wearing hoods (just stick on the heat if yer cold there young fella) and baseball caps tilted upwards behind the wheel. And people having shopping lists on the bodywork/glass of their car is as tacky as it comes on everyday drivers... of course track cars, show cars, etc.. is a different story.

Its very obvious Honda are trying to pull away from that particular market with the re-styling of their new models. They are trying to break into the 'classy' or comfort market (for want of a better term.)

But still, I dont think i could ever get into one, let alone own one...

Is that Civics or all Hondas? I'm not a Civic fan in any regard but I wouldn't say no to an S2000 or an Accord Type-R.

Mainly Civics, they have tainted my view of honda altogether unfortunatley. :smt011

Although the S2000 is a fine piece of machinery, they're feckin tiny....its hard enough gettin in and out of an fto!

Accords dont take my fancy really although as you say, I wouldnt say no to one...

While we're on the subject, if anyone has an NSX they feel doesn't quite suit them, I'd be happy to help

Ya the s2000's are small alright- no back seats is the killer but they are great to move.
The K20 2.0 v-tec engine is quick but the body of the Euro R is heavy but i like the look of them. Good car when u have a couple of sprogs.
normally the drivers of real Type R's aren't chavs(from the people i know that drive civics) its the apes with 20 Type R and 5 Midnight Club stickers that are the apes, they ruin it for everyone!!
I had a B16a2 (1.6 VTI Civic Coupe) and i absolutely adored it- no peak cap or chav stickers- just a mint clean car that i loved.
New Type s and Type R are beautiful even though i thought the bhp would have been higher. Bit pricey new too.

When i win the lotto im gettin an NSX...... And im gonna buy back all my old cars if they are all still in one piece..... even my civics!
