car cutting out

Postby technoprisoners » Wed Nov 18, 2009 12:32 am

hi.....im posting on behalf of a friend. his 2.0 non mivec is cutting out when he comes to junctions or slowing down for ramps. This only happens once the car has heated up. The ecu is not storing any fault codes but my money is on a faulty crank sensor. Is there any mechanics around the dublin area that specialise on fto's?

If the crank sensor is faulty, then it will appear as a fault code. Sounds. to me like a faulty or badly calibrated TPS. Paul Nolan in Clonshaugh Industrial Estate has been working on FTOs for years, check out http://www.nolanscars.ie
