But im up for a meet inbetween

We could just do a coffee morning sometime soon. It's it octane that does these. Coffee and hang around for a chat for an hour or two.

Might be an idea to have one in each Provence if we have numbers and take a few pics Compare size

Where havent ye been at this stage? Have Kilkenny and Waterford been visited yet?

Waterford was last feb for the birthday meet for the stay over. Don't know about kilkenny

Dingle (Conor Pass), Killarney (Lakes of Killarney road inc. tunnel and Healy Pass, I know we did it about 3 years ago but its a great road, even in a van!).
I know nothing about the east side of the country.

That's a great idea - also a kid friendly meet that would get me some brownie points for getting everyone out of the house and give the missus some 'me time'

Octane does one the first Sunday of every month, 11am at Cherrywood. Been to a couple myself, great craic..! Guy with a Ford GT 40 there last time. What a machine..!

Ok....... the Dc5 club are looking to hold their SECOND ever meet- last one was in 2008!!! We are looking for a joint one kinda like the one ye had with Celica Ireland a while back. Anyone in the East or the midlands know of a good location where we could all meet up??? I looked at Meath there.....

Just an idea. Id love a another Dc5 meet so lets get this rolling!!!

Good plan. Nice to get a bit of a road trip with another club, would make it a worthwhile journey then to the other side of the country.
Coffee meets are fine for mini-meets I think, but the weather is good, and theres a long while yet till the summer sets in and plenty of time for another real meet.

Didn't know you went to these! Ya, that's Steve's, I've had the pleasure of being in it, he also has an awesome detomaso as well. I'd nearly prefer it... I think some people would agree lol

Jeez - he would have been seriously pissed if someone spilled that latte over the engine of his GT40 !!

So how many DC5's are interested in going to a joint meet? Did many come back on the forum?

Around 4 so far and I only posted the idea this morning. Should be interest in one up that direction- lots of Northern member on the site.

Joint meet with th3 DC5's would be great, and that way I wouldn't feel as isolated in my little 4 cylinder

Amazing that its only their second meet, I wonder what is the official count in Ireland relative to FTO's?

Could even go one further and see if I could get a few S2k's along, but might try and settle on a date first, and take it from there?

Ya only one other meet- we did a rolling road. Loads of good intentions for them but people always back out!! At the mo there seem to be a few dedicated members who do want to organize a meet. As for numbers im not sure how many there are- i know there are a good crew from north of the border!!

As for dates how about the 21st/22nd of May????

21st/22nd of May would be perfect for me, or the weekend before, but after that I'll be away for a few weeks.

The 2 boys are busy the wkend before in Cork with M.A.D. so the wkend of the 21st/22nd suits!! Will it be an over nighter??

Aye we have a stand in the Cork Motorfest the weekend of the 15th and thats a 2 day thing so definately don't want to miss that.
21/22nd should be ok I think though. I'd say it would have to be an overnighter to get the best value out of it.
Tom a few S2Ks would be cool as well. So that would be 2 Honda clubs, wonder is there a GTO club in Ireland that we could even out the numbers?
