Christmas meet

Postby CJ » Tue Sep 20, 2005 8:47 pm

I was speking with Daz earlier on and he suggested a Christmas meet which isn't a idea, what we need is some suggestions, a location and a concensus. Something such as karting and an evening out in December might be one possibility.

Get your thinking caps on guys :smt111

In Aus from Dec 22nd for a few weeks so it would have to be before Christmas for me which kinda defeats the purpose of a Christmas meet.

Well when I say Christmas, it could be a few weeks beforehand, especially if were to look at booking a restaurant or the like.

I have scant recollections, Dave assures me it was good crack :smt030

While I knows theres a few owners in the 'general' vicinity, my fear would be that the Dubs / Pale border dwellers wouldn't travel en masse, if we don't get a whole lot of interest from the 'east side' I'd be inclined to head over.

Is that the skiing thing in Kilternan or is it somewhere else?

I dunno, I'd give it a go, my only concern would be me knackering me dodgy back in the event of a tumble! I'll create a poll of all suggestions and see whats the preferred choice.

The FTOOC in England usually have theirs on the first wknd in december so i guess we would probably go along the same lines.

Poll results are:

Karting in Kinvarra (Galway) [ 2 ]
Karting in Dublin [ 3 ]
Skiing in Dublin [ 5 ]

Firstly, we've about 30 members who visit the forums regularly, I would have expected higher poll participation :smt102

Anyway, it looks like the majority of people would prefer the skiing, would those of you who voted for the other two options be up for it?

I'm just looking forward to meeting the real people behind the virtual name :)

I hear ya IP, me own bones are in a jocker at the best of times! I'd be inclined to give it a go for the craic, you should know pretty soon if you're not comfortable with it (Shane, you're up, start talking up this skiing lark ;))
