Any one have a lend of the Tappets Tool?

Rather than buy it... or try to make one, does anyone have a lend of this?

aye you surely can maud... I was looking up the adjustment guide in the engine workbook. Its a piece of pie. seriously. all you gotta do is whip off the rocker covers. the rest is easy with the tool. I'll post a guide when I do it... ;)

Looks easy on paper, come back when you have it done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have you worked out which cylinder is which yet. Almost impossible to see and align some of the timing marks as you turn the crank. Easiest way is to place something long down the plug hole and wht it stops moving up as you turn the crank you have TDC.
Make sure you do not adjust the wrong tappets for a particular cylinder, you could end up damaging the engine. Manual is not fully clear on this procedure

Hey Steelroe, good tips there thanks. I'll post a full review about how hard I find it. I have to agree, the engine_manual.pdf is thin on detail and is more of a guide then a technical spec of how to do it. There is more detailed info in the 11A-8 of the workshop1.pdf manual. Im sure I'll figure it out with the guidance of my long suffering mechanic. If not...any engines going? ;)
