Hi guys and gals I'm part of the ftooc in the uk, I was just wondering if any of you live near Clonakilty. I'm going over to a family party Aug 26 - 29 im staying at the Quality Hotel in Clonakilty i'm bringing my fto over for the first time so would be nice if anyone is about could meet up (it would be nice to meet other fto owners)

I know its a few months away but thought i'd post up early just to see if anyone is around there. :oops:

Hi Hezzy - Welcome to FTO Ireland.

A meet in Clonakilty is unlikely to happen - its a bit off the beaten track - our recent Kenmare meet attracted a total of 3 FTO's so I guess we need to hold them closer to Dublin to get the numbers.

What port are you coming through?

Rosslaire following my dad along last time I was in Ireland I was about 12 :lol:

got family all over Ireland Sligo, Dublin, Kilbrittain and Clonakilty cant remember few of the other names its been a while :oops:

Think my mum and dad were going on about taking a trip to Cork couple of hours away is it ?

Might just keep a look out fro any FTOs knocking about over the weekend :wink:

Yeah thats what people said when I took it to the Midlands Mega Meet back in April they said that they knew it was me before I got out of the car. :lol:

5 days after that picture was taken a drink driver hit me head on luckly I had breaked and came to a stop just before impact so he smashed up my bumper, number plate, bonnet , drivers side wing and front neon the ba$tard

Car is in japco at the moment should be ready on Tues it been 2 and a bits months since the crash and the bloke hasn't even been charged yet

Oh well on the bright side the compo money will give me more money to spend on her :wink:

The colour is a bit like Rob's car but think mine darker and 3 tone blue/green and gold cant wait to have her back home. I have been without the car in total 6 months 3 months at the orignal sprayer he had to put 10 coats of paint on her the base kept coming through and now nearly 3 months with Japco :lol:

Yeah miss my baby cant pose in a 1.6 golf hire car that my solicitor got me blokes insurance has to pay for it so far the bill is £4000 :shock:

oh well weather might be better next week for when she home so I can for a well deserved cruise :lol:

Probably would off been cheeper in the long run for them to just buy you a new fto by the time they pay that bill and the repair bill :lol:

I worked out the other week i've probably spent bet £8000 on my car since I had her imported over. More to be spent on want leather interior , boot build, more dress up bits for engine and im up rating the breaks to Brembo's think that will do her after that :roll:

Hey Hezzy,

I'm living near Cork city (about 45 mins drive from Clonakilty), not too many FTOs down here but a few here and there. 3 tone paint job sounds interesting, wouldn't mind a closer look! :wink:

Soz Adie thats the only one I can find of my car I dont know how to post them up etc :lol:

Well car would of been ready for picking up on Tues just gone but when Giles was taking masking tape off the door shut he said some of the paint had come off. He has now had to order more paint just to sprat that little bit and I have to get the ok from the insurance I was well peeed off. Im not gonna ring him till tomorrow and then check I can coll it on Friday afternoon I want it back for the weekend

Fingers crossed must be coming up to 3 months since the accident and the drink driver hasnt been charged and is driving his car thats been already fixed around.
