They're a bit on the big side bigkayy, expect wheel arch fouling on full lock. Halfords are selling thise Silverstone tyres with their wheel and tyre packages, what model did you get?

[what model did you get?]

I got a 99 GX,I actually bought the wheels from Icetronix, the wheels are 17" Tenzo R RS5 but they were wrapped in 225 45 17, I havent got it fitted yet, thats why I was guaging peeps opinion to determine if it fits without rubbing. I might go lower on the tyre profile n width then cos i dont want any rubbing at all.

I havent lowered the car yet seb, was thinking of lowering it on s.tein on friday thats why I was holding on until friday to get the new wheels fitted as well. then I can see if it rubs when lowered.

Its all gonna come down to the offset of the rim you will be running - too high and a 225/45 17 will rub on the bottom of the damper - if you have an offset of circa 30 or under than I imagine you'll be ok.

Do you know what offset you got those tenzos in?

Fitted the new 17" wheels today, what a relief, this is no rubbing or scrubbing on the wheel archso far even at full lock, bear in they were wrapped with 225/45 rubbers.
dunno whether i will enjoy this rub-free drive when i get the lowering spring fitted.
Modding is an addiction, the best way out is not starting.

Expect to be dumping your wheel arch liners when you go the lowering route!
