Mongoose Exhaust or KYB Shocks - that is the question

Its either the exhaust + decat pipe or the shocks (plus fitting cost), definately cant afford both :cry:

What you reckon??

Depends what sort of way your shocks are in tbh. If it was me (as it was a while back), I'd also be looking at replacing every conceivable suspension bush were possible, I don't think theres any point in renewing the shocks without doing the full job, you won't reap the full benefits with shocks alone. If all of the above sounds too much, then you know what option to go for!

Exhaust + deCat is def the easier option.
I did all my bushes inc ARB and droplinks + Dampers and springs and it has transformed the handling - will cost about the same as the Exhaust + decat but there'll be a lot more work involved.

I did my DeCat exhaust first - If I was to buy another FTO its still probably the first thing I'd put on the car. But IMO a 95-98 FTO would most likely be in need of a revamp in the suspension department to get the handling back to better than new.
