Facelift OEM HID Headlights

Postby Wagalini » Tue Jun 23, 2015 10:12 am

Hi all,

Some of my passenger side headlight mounting brackets are broken and the nct has started spotting it this year.

I was wondering if it's worth it getting a set used of OEM HD headlights? Does anybody have these and how do they find them? Do the ballasts fail, etc?

I've found a set on ebay but it'll probably cost me €500 with shipping from the U.S.

Thanks,
Brian

Haha yeah it is crazy money :)

I've got aftermarket ballasts for mine too but I took them out for the nct. I could fabricate some sort of holders and hide them out of the way under the headlights I guess...

I was looking for a passenger side facelift headlight when I came across these. I need one as some of the mounts on mine are broken and failing the nct :(

Hi man

Ya can get those brackets plastic welded.
or there are epoxy glues on the market now also.
or else fabricate and metal bracket in place of the broken
one.
dont pay that sort of money anyway.
nct are only looking to see that the light is secure.

Any place you'd recommend for plastic welding?
