Colour restoration

Postby JD » Mon Dec 20, 2004 11:26 pm

Hi all,
I've just had a colour restoration done by CarCraft in fairview and I can't believe the finish they've achieved, it's like the car has come out of the showroom. They start by touching up paint chips etc. then warm up the car body (with heaters I think!) and do a three stage process of polishing the paintwork (not waxing - polishing). It took between 5 and 6 hours in all and it looks brand new, (except for the few minor 'car'park' dents I have  ). I've used over the counter 'colour restoration' products before on other cars (and sweated blood doing it!) and they never achieved a finish like this.

I was also looking at some of the spray jobs they were doing today and the colour matching is just unreal. I have a new spoiler (which is the wrong colour) and they'll spray it for €80. I don't know how much it would normally cost but that sounds like value to me.
Anyway I love it when I get good service and value for money (It was €149 for the full colour restoration) and just thought I'd pass on the info if anyone in Dublin needs this type of service. They have a website at www.carcraft.ie.
Cheers and happy christmas to everyone

Does €149 include touching up scratches and chips? If that's the case, I bet I could kill their profit margin.

Excellent - nice to know there are companies like this around. Incredible value for what you've got done.

Anyone know of a similar company in the West of Ireland??

If your T cut and old dish cloth can sort out my paint chips and small scratches then you've got yourself a deal. If you could also paint my Top Mix Rear Spoiler for me and fit it as well - I might see my way towards an extra €5. :D
