The same procedure can be used for the rears as well as the front headlights, 15 mins in the oven @ 75ºC, see this link on the FTOOC site for more info.

I'm not a big fan of these clear rear lights - there are some carbon fibre ones though that really do look the business.

Having to take your lights of and stick them in the oven sounds like a lot of hassle - why not just tint them instead?? I think they look better with a light tint (mask off the reverse light though!).

MFFTO, don't spoil it for everyone by not bringing butter from the creamery out by the cowshed!

Removing the rears only takes a few minutes, I tinted them red a last year but the tint will fade unless you use a few coats of clear laquer on top, see this post.

Honestly CJ those indicator lenses look crap in my opinion. THe VW polo lamps look the business. I have a digital camera a will take a pic over the next few days.

Presume you're talking about the front indicator lamps!
I think that CJ and Mr Miyagi are talking about the rear lamps?

Would like to see your new front end! Agree that clear indicators on the front look a lot better than standard - unfortunately for the majority of us non facelift owners - we ain't got much choice!

I thought you were talking about the facelift indicator lenses they are selling.
But is you ar talking about the rear lenses the I still think they look crap compardto the T's Factory one's. I have seen several on the UK site selling them on again in a short while. Just my opinion though.

I seen a black fto with the tail lights sprayed black, i thought it really suited it. I tried to find the spray in Sligo and nobody new what i was talking about, its so hard to find anything like that in sligo.

Jon, have a look around the web, you should be able to pick uip a can for less than €15 (see here for example) One thing I'd recommend is putting a few coats of clear laquer overthe top to seal the tint in, it will eventually fade otherwise.

I tinted the back lights in my civic black and it lasted for as long as I had the car.
It was the same make as the one of the page CJ linked too.
Didn't use any laquer but it sounds like a good idea. Would also recommend taking the light clusters out of the car!!!!:oops:

Just got a can for a couple of quid in the motorstore
(dont know if they are still around though cos the one in galway is closed down and realised today that the one in liffey valley is gone too)
