I seem to be the only one looking for beige  , and there aren't any beige ones in the pictures (apart from the distance photo of the white fto). As there are potentially so many different shades of beige, do you have any pictures of the colour that is used by your manufacturers?
Cheers

Max .... pse advise in what way you are combining the two group buys. I only ask because of course I am paying you in total for all the purchases for the UK group buy. Did you want me to collect from the Irish guys also or are you going to deal with them individually.

I have made a post on the UK site about the group buy, but unfortunately it went live yesterday evening not all the ISP's have picked up on the site yet and therefore I am unable to access the site again at the moment. Hope it will be today sometime.

Here we go guys, UK group buy is started, so we can get started as well.

JJ, I didnt realise you were also a member of FTO-Ireland club as well. If its not too much trouble, I would rather you collect the funds just like the UK group buy to keep the consistency. Otherwise, I am happy to organise it as well.

People ..... I've been asked by Max to take over the group buy as we're actually doing one at the same time in the UK.

For those of you who don't know me I'm Chairman and founder of the UK Club.

We are actually controlling the UK group buy and am collecting all the funds from individuals by way of paypal payment to the club account. We are then sending the complete payment to max in one go.

No money is passing through personal hands, its all done through the FTO Club.

If you are happy to go with this then please lets have a concencus of opinion please. I am taking payments to the club paypal account, but you will have to add on a percentage for paypal fees. In sterling its 3.5% but it may be slightly more for you because of the currency - I seem to remember its about 4.5%.

All items will then be delivered direct to your door by fedex.

Let me know guys. I need to get this moving along quickly as if we move quickly we may get the deliveries done before Christmas

Cheers
Jon Jones
(PS - We have about 20 buyers in the UK

I'd be happy to go this route, Maud or Irish Phoenix could probably clarify the Paypal percentages.

Percentages - fees

Postby IrishPhoenix » Mon Nov 14, 2005 12:03 pm

For sellers receiving payments - 3.4% + £0.20 GBP

https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/websc ... es-outside

Currency conversion details are there too. I know the collectors shouldnt have to lose out on money for accepting payments but it is against PayPal policy in the UKto surcharge.

Just to let JJ know if he were to send on money to max, max would have to pay the fee to receive money also and if anyone didnt get their goods and filed a chargeback it would be JJ who would have to pay back the buyers.

You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen, it said 'Parking Fine'.

Paypal does apply a small charge to handle the transfer of monies.
This charge applies to the person recieving - with this amount of money involved (approx 30x350euro) the loss for Max would be quite subtantial, so it's suggested that each of us pay "a little extra" to cover the fees.

There are a number of possible issues with this method of payment with this group-buy. I don't mean to be a "nay-sayer" - nay nay..I Do not!

1. As we're simply transferring money PayPals buyer protection scheme is not in place. (It's not active in Ireland at all)
2. Lets say we transfer our money to JJ. JJ transfers the money to Max. Max pays the production line. Production line catches fire due to American bombings - or something similar. Perhaps something untowards happens and Max becomes unavailable & you don't get your seat covers. Inorder to get you money back you then place a charge back on your Creditcard.
However instead of the money being pulled from MAXs account - they will get pulled from JJs account.

Having said all that - I do not see any reason not to go through with the transactions. I trust Max and JJ 100% I merely felt that it my puty to point out the above.

Guys, I am doing my best to supply you the highest quality product in shortest time, at a minimal cost.

Unfortunately, the profit margin is not big enough to subsidise any transaction fee may occur.

If there is any transaction fee, this has to be added to the cost of the covers and payed by the buyers.

There seems to be some worries from some members ... Afraid I can't justify absorbing the paypal charges by the club. After all, we're not making a penny out of it just organising.

I guess you have to make up your mind yes or no, but I don't have much time so I need to know if EVEYONE is happy or not. If not then you'll have to do it yourself with max .... I'm only trying to make everything easy for everyone :D I'll log on again to check tonight.

BTW, Max isn't being paid until the goods have shipped

Cheers

Right I have PM'd everyone who expressed an interest. As with the UK owners, I have told them that this will be as quick as you want it to be .. one person delays payment then it holds everyone up as these items are being despatched direct to you by FEDEX, and once I give the go ahead they all go.
