gearbox oil changed... but not happy

Postby Sebastian » Mon Jun 22, 2009 12:48 am

or is all in my head?

got the oil in the box changed by Paul N not long ago.
the gear selection it's okay and done easy when driving normally , but at any sprint/power driving , gear selecting is done hard and doesn't always get into gear (especially second and third ..) .

any ideeas what it might be?

Seb, what brand / grade of oil did you use? I assume you used a fully synth oil?

Is it just hard to get into gear or is it grating/crunching

Possibly the gear cable mounting bracket on top of the box, That box does have a serious amount of mileage on it Seb
