EVO 5 clutch

anyone know:
1/ how much an EVO 5 clutch would cost to replace + who in dublin would be best bet to sort this out.
2/ is the syncromesh a weak link in the EVO 5 gearbox, it was dodgy in the 94 cyborg, also heard similar stories about EVO 1, 2 and 3 gearboxes.

Al, I too have heard this about the borg, Looks like the early evo's had issues too. Not sure about the evo 5 though

cheers mustang, ive been busy ringing around all day, syncro is weak link in evos 4, 5 and 6 too, prices averaging 1,500 euro for clutch + syncromesh

Offer seemed too good to be true, knew i wasnt getting a bargain here,lol. oh well

That seems pretty excessive Al, I'd get onto the lads on the Lancer Register if you havn't already done so, they should be able to point you in the right direction.
