Hiya, traded in my old car which was worth about 2,000 and gave him 9,500 cash. Seems to be the average for a car like iit. Its a 98 GX Red sports package (aero series) I think thats what he said. I really love but she still needs abit of work. Going to get the red and black leathers with FTO on headrests and red panels on doors. Already have a feck off Stereo in and a really class momo gearstick (with hand brake on order). Hoping to put the pred bodykit on her when I get a bit more cash together.

What about yourself, whats yours like

Presume this is the one then? - Quite like the FTO in red - used to own a red GR - now have silver GPX.

May I ask what the Pred bodykit is ?

If you click on the album icon on the top toolbar you'll get to see several forum members cars inc my own. But before you commit to any bodykit or other mods why don't you go to the meet on Aug 13th in Dublin and take a look at a few of the cars for ideas?

Not really sure about the body Kit, the boyfriend is sorten that out, thought he said it was called a predator kit, but I prob have it wrong, think I only listen half the time.

Not sure about your meet, may drop over on the morning but I train a couple of girls football teams and they usually have matches sat and sunday evening but will see maybe I could arrange something. Yeah thats my car in the photo but it looks much nicer in real life. Yours is fab, correct me if I'm wrong again!!! but aren't those GPX the best you can get. Have you set a venue for the meet.

Cath check out the following thread on the Meets forum for more info, even if you come out in the morning, it would be another car for the pics!

http://www.fto-ireland.com/forum/phpBB2 ... php?t=2250

Predator make kits for Peugeots, Opels and Fiats etc, I've never heard of one for the FTO. If they did and it looked like the one that the young lads stick on Corsas, forget about it!

Bit more done, passenger seat now finished. I'm going to leave the drivers seat until next weekend. (a) its too hot, and (b) might not have enough time, need to use the car tomorrow afternoon, and will be having the customary few weekend beers this evening.

The zip on the back of the seat is a right so and so, between getting it started and it getting stuck along the way it took way longer than you'd think.

Here's a pic, its almost a before and after in one as the drivers seat has yet to be done. Not the best pic, but sure here it is anyway.

I asked to get them embroided in mine when i got them, i think thats the only way it would look right. otherwise they would look stuck on as an after thought.

They're embroidered into the leather alright, they definately look part of the seat, a nice job!

I have the driver's front seat done, must try to get half decent pics of the finished job (still have doorcards, tweeters, cubby box + back seat sides to do) but here's the latest I have. I hadn't the seat belt clip on 'cos I had to get a new bolt - had to drill the original one off, feicin thing rounded, just wouldn't budge. Its back on now and all but I haven't got a pic of it yet.

Oh yeah, discovered the seat belt clip light had been disconnected when I took out the drivers seat, never worked since I got it, so now i have a new light on my dash!

Shows just how easily I'm amused!

You just get the material to do it yourself rather than shaped stitched leather. I don't know how much extra that bit was tbh. I'm holding off on that for the moment, my guitar case only fits across the back seat and I'd be afraid it would damage the leather.

I too have cream leather seats that were on the car when I bought it, and I wouldnt mind that FTO logo on the front headrests in blue at all at all either, thats why I was asking.

Quote to the tune of €400 to embroider from Zenith Automotive though so I think i'll have to put that idea on the back burner for a while. Thought it would be a much smaller job
