Postby finers » Sat Apr 26, 2008 10:50 am

Hey just wondering if any1 has fitted a new remote locking unit to there beast, thinking of purchasing these from ebay as my original remote locking key was lost. is the old unit in the panel beside the passengers left foot?

I was looking at those as well, thery're worth the risk. €19.99 isn't a lot!

Don't expect high quality or reliability though.

The standard spec didn't include remote locking did it?

Just to clarify, the ebay fobs don't include key blades. been looking at them with a view to buying...

It was certainly an option on facelift cars but not sure if it was standard. The GX has remote locking, the key has a built in button to open / close.

ye the one i was looking at was 19.99 sterling + 10 sterling P&P bout 38 blips,
now its startin to get pricey, not sure if i trust them blanks either sent them a mail askin if the blank are known to fit the fto key they didnt give me a staright answer said the key fob is univeral as long as the car had automatic locking, that wasnt the question i asked!!!
Goina c if theyll sell them with shipping of 4 sterling seems fare theyll prob tell me were to go :D

Hello

Found this ancient post since i bumped in the same problem !
I have the keyless entry unit which also states that has 2 window outputs, but back to this later.

the item looks like this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT

-Problem:
do not know how to install the thingie.
-Steps taken:
Discovered and made intensive measurements on the current central locking unit placed right under the steering wheel,
Powered the unit received and mapped its responses, but still no real clue on how to attach the new unit to behave properly upon commands.

Can anyone give me some pointers?
