In an effort to provide additional structure to the club, the moderators and I have decided upon the formation of a club committee. The main aim of the committee will be to provide future direction to the club in an organised and coherent fashion. Representation of active membership is also of key importance.
The committee will be comprised of 6 people, 5 of whom have already been selected. Accordingly, we invite interested parties to put their name forward for the remaining position.
If you are intersted in getting involved, please send me a PM stating your case by 8pm on Wednesday the 18th of March. The interim committee line-up will take a vote on each entry, majority rule will be the defining factor in terms of final selection.
I would like to stress that no significant changes will be made to way in which the club or forum operates. A loose organisational structure of sorts has existed for some time, its our belief that officiating this structure is in the best interests of the club. The main motivation behind formalising a committee is:
- To provide future direction for the club
- To share the workload required to keep the show on the road
- To promote the club through concencus
Personally, I would like to see other people have more of a say on the future of this entity.
Final decisions will be made by Friday the 20th of March at which point the full committee line-up will be publicised.
