The second set look to be the better bet, the first ones are full buckets.
The back seat might as well be a shelf with them fitted.

You are unlikely to pass your NCT with fixed back seats - as you would need access to the back seats.
TBH - you're best bet is to source something along the lines of a second hand set of Recaros from a Type R or similar - ala Dragonheart on here - these are a high quality seat and much better than the majority of the aftermarket seats that come up for sale on done deal etc.

I concur. I dont know about the comfort of many of the other types but the comfort in the Recaros is fantastic, and they're fully adjustable which is great. I would imagine as Shane said you'd need access to the back seat for the NCT as the car is down as a 4-seater on the log book. I would imagine you'd pick up a set of Recaros from a breaker from an old DC2 or Civic or something?

You can occasionally pick up a set of Recaro rails for the FTO from Yahoo! Auctions in Japan if you know whet to look for. http://www.bidjdm.com is a good place to start (search for DE3A).

i know about the access to the rear seats for nct, would just install standard when nct comes up then change back, i like full bucket seats myself to be honest but i heard alot of good things about the recaros ,they do come in black dont they? dont think id be pushed on the red ones

The Honda ones come in black with white stitching, red with black stitching, and blue (not sure what colour stitching) I think too. Dependent on the colour of the car, same as with the GPvR seats on the FTO. Black is a good colour for them as I find if they're not cleaned thoroughly the red ones can look grubby, but then again I think sometimes the black ones dont stand out enough to show they are Recaros. Personal choice really.
One thing with the Recaros is that if the previous owner was 'lazy' getting out of the car then the upstand near the door tends to be flattened sometimes, I haven't got that problem on mine but Grace has it on her driver's seat.
