No real choice if the chassis rot is as bad as the last owner claims. Would def be worth getting hold of a second FTO chassis (this could be got pretty cheap) - seam weld and roll cage before fitting all the parts from Blue FTO. Lovely looking FTO - would look savage with a matt black vinyl wrap combined with the CF.

Oh ya that wrap would be sweet! Saw a Porsche and a Ferrari done in the wrap in Top Gear in London, looked savage! And costs less than a spray job according to the installers, they were doing one as a sample while we were there. The only thing is that you can see the cuts sometimes if not done properly like around petrol flap and openings, as in doors, boot, and bonnet.

The idea of the wrap isnt as a finish, its more for protecting the paitwork, so when you decide to sell on the car you just peel off the wrap and there isnt any stone chips or sun blotches anywhere on the car. But I think it looks like a cool finish too though, def something different, and it can be done in a day with the right guys at it.

to give you an idea how bad the rot is, I jacked the car up and put and needed 4 axel stands to take the weight as the pressure exerted on one when i tryied to remove the jack, the car wouldnt hold it just bent under hte weight

Dan have you any plans for the indicator/foglight pods as mine are missing the lampholder for foglights there's a pic of this in my whats missing post?? in FTO technical. was thinking if you are using this car purely for the track you could remove lights pods and make a duct in their place to cool brakes
