FTO jolts while indicating at idle

So I started getting this problem where the car will jolt when I use the indicator at idle. Basically, I come up to a traffic light or what not, turn on an indicator, and the car will jolt every time the indicator light ignites. You can imagine how many jolts that is. I don't have that problem when I use the indicator during acceleration. Any idea what this might be? Also my inner wheel cover is damaged. That part that separates the wheel from engine bay. It's black and flimsy. Could it be that water is not supposed to enter that area or? I need to get the thing replaced.

Any idea what the cause of the jolt is would be great! Cheers.

What do you mean by jolt? Do the revs drop erratically? Does it lurch forward?

Check the battery and alternator.
