FTO for sale

Hi guys. This has been the moment I haven't been looking forward to but here we go.

95 Silver Manual GPX FTO with sunroof

227K, Taxed and NCTed till the end of this year. Passed last NCT with no problems. All papers supplied.

Timed at 0-60 in 6.48 secs. 1/4 mile in 14.7 secs. The quickest timed N/A FTO in Ireland.

Engine Bay / Servicing / Upkeep
-All belts have been changed when the car was purchased and very little millage put on it as it is a weekend car.
-The entire Air Con system has been removed to reduce weight and reduce load on the engine including the fan, condenser, belt, tensioner and all pipework - total weight loss of approx 40kgs.
-Denso Iridiums spark plugs
-ITG Maxogen filter
-Stepper motor replaced and comes with a spare one
-Radiator ionised slam panel.
-6 point blue lead earthing kit
-All fluids and coolant have been changed apart from the break fluid. This will be upgraded to DOT 5.1 before being sold.
-Front HEL Performance brakeline kit included.
-Clutch has been replaced before I bought it (Camskill)
-New gearbox was put in when I bought it by Mr. Gearbox Mr.Clutch gearbox specialist.
-Turbo Timer
-Front and rear droplinks replaced - ALL bushes replaced - with poly bushes where available including ARBs - increased castor poly bushes on the front and rear.
-Dampers replaced with KYB dampers - Springs replaced with Apex lowering springs - 35% stiffer for improved handling.
-Steering arms and boots replaced.
-Front and Rear strut braces.
- EBC Green stuff pads all round - Calipers painted blue.
-10mm spacers all round.
-17" Forged Magnesium "Work RSR" rims which were recently referbished and all tyres have plenty of thread


Exterior
-Blueflame Quad exhaust - including decat (bolt on CAT also provided) - 800Euros.
-DC skirts - Moulded - expert job - 2.5K Euros including respray.
-Boot delocked and despoilered to give this FTO that PHATT look.
-New OE front bumper put on with a moulded DC lip to complete the body kit cost over €700 in total. Extra original paint included for touch ups.
-Spare original bumper included already sprayed and matched
-Rear and side tinted windows.
-Debadged.
-Clear side repeaters.
-PIAA horn
-8K HIDs
-2 Spare headlights included
-Alarm, central locking etc.

Interior:
-Digital climate control
-Colour-coded Isotta steering wheel, Gearknob/gaiter and handbrake.
-Stainless Steel dials - light-up blue at night. Aluminium dial rings.
-Carbon Fibre centre console with intigrated whoosh vaccum and oil pressure guages.
-New Carbon fibre door sills with FTO logo.
-Factory electric sunroof. Spare sunroof included
-Drilled alloy pedals
-PIAA horn
-All bulbs changed to LEDs
-Semi bucket seats and fabric are perfect with no rips or tears.
-6 x 9 250Watt GTO speakers and Sonichi head unit with CD/DVD/USB/AUX/SD card outlets

Only selling as I am moving country. No good offer refused but no silly offers as I am also considering putting into storage and shipping it over.

I also agree with you and goz. I am in a 50/50 mind frame at the moment. There is a bit of me that wants if to be sold and used regularly, but another part is telling me to keep it till I'm old and wrinkly. .

And no not undersealed. I was considering it but it wouldn't benifit me or the sale at this point. Seems it is an old car undersealing would be an advantage but the underside is good for the present time.

Being realistic you're not going to get your asking price so better to keep it in storage or ship it over.

Either way I'll be happy. As I said I'm 50/50. I'd like to see it get some regular use as I only use it at the weekend. But would like to see it touch down in OZ

Lovely example of an FTO - I spent a LOT of money on that FTO when I had it originally.
Would love to get it back and just stick it in the shed (or VR4 it) but you already know where I am with regard to how I value it Stewy. If you add up all thats been spent on that FTO then its "worth" many multiples of the asking price but I fear the current market where you can get an RX8 for not far off that money means that you are selling to a very small pool of people - most likely on this forum.

Maybe its just me being biased but I think its worth that price. Don't get me wrong I see where your coming from, but how many good clean examples where it needs nothing with tax and NCT have there actually been for sale in the last year. Not many.
Granted you can pick some up on donedeal for a grand or less but to get back on the road never mind up to top nick again how much on top of that. I have spare headlights, front bumper, braided hoses, stepper motor, sun roof etc to go with it as well so im happy with that price.

As I said if it doesn't sell it will be hitting the tarmac in OZ

An FTO is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for one. It will be difficult to engage your standard FTO buyer at that price but perhaps theres someone out there willing to pay for the privilege of owning an FTO thats been well maintained etc. Stick to your guns and see what happens, you never know. I'll be buying an FTO again at some point in the future, I would be willing to pay well above average for the right car in the right condition.

But seriously that is a mash up of everything. Looking at all the private ads there, there is a huge price difference between cars that just have a body kit. its crazy, nevermind about about if its manual or auto.

I would guess about 8K for yours Stewy, but not worth the hassle for ship and sell if you ask me, you'd end up with peanuts.

I like the gold one. I considered getting mine sprayed gold, but decided to keep it icelle blue. Its the only one on irish roads I know of.

I didn't research it in full yet but there are a few catches to importing vehicles into the country

registration. doing their safety test and all that crap. They probably quarantine the bloody thing for 6 months too! If your stayin in Oz Stewy...you should ship it for sure. 2.5k is a small price for such a machine and it won't reach that price unless CJ decides to buy one sooner rather than later. With all the funds I am putting into my fto,,,you can all be sure I won't be price tagging any time soon. Atleast €1500 will be handed over in the next few days to get my baby back. Hell I could buy 3 ftos for that!!! As it has already been said...a car is worth what someone will pay. Too few people look for an fto and even less will pay for quality.
