For the short guy and gals...

Postby optical illusion » Mon Oct 01, 2007 1:30 pm

I know all cars are different, and I haven't sat in the driver seat of an fto yet, but when I am driving other cars, well, I'm 5'3 and I have to pull the car seat nearly all the way forward to reach the pedals... My worry is, what if I have a crash, won't I like, break my neck with the airbag? I've thought of taking the airbag out, but then I've been told it won't pass the NCT (can't blame them really) so either way, I'm dead right?

Does anyone else have a similar problem, how do I deal with it?! :?

I wouldn't have thought this was a problem - this car is from Japan, most people are 5'3 or less and it seems to have been fine for them.

Wouldn't worry about it.

Wear platforms from the 70s, tht way you'll still be able to reach the pedals and have the seat back.

Don't think it'll be a problem...airbag will prolly break your nose and such but that apparently is quite normal..

you could always just get one without airbag..or not crash...not crashing is probably the best option..

oh - if you're going for platforms get ones with fish in the heels..

Bad idea, they have the same problem as Nike Air had, and if that happens then the fish have no water, and will die, and its not the same effect when its a lot of little corpses in there.

Back to the airbag thing, its prob a big enough airbag that it wouldnt be a problme, thankfully I've never had one go off, but I'm sure they're tested for all ranges of sizes. And if its a Jap car, well, they're not exactly the tallest people in the world are they so that should be taken into account. Def wouldnt go removing it, bad idea.
