soundproofing??

was looking through a previous thread in the knowledgebase about soundproofing your fto. i was wondering if anyone has any pictures of how this looks/ is done? how long does it take? was thinking of tackling this at the weekend and any help would be appreciated.....

Pierce, check out the guide (PDF) on Steve Hemmings site , while it deals with Dynamat which is much lighter (and more expensive!) than flashband, many of the same rules apply.
You don't have to heat the panals by the way although it wouldn't harm to do so.

i may do this myself, got a few rattles out of it recently just a few more to go and i should have a relatively rattle free fto, well in saying that, rattle free for an fto, not in comparison to anything else

I'll see if I can get some pictures of my boot lid and boot well this evening and I'll email them to CJ. I used flashband and it's very easy and an excellent material. Makes it very easy if you warm the flashband before applying - I used to cut the strips I wanted and then heat them on the dash air vents, i.e. run car with hot air on full.

I did the rear 1/4 panels and under the back seat on my old GS. I'm going to do under the back seat, rear 1/4 panels and parcel shelf this saturday.
