**WANTED** Coolant Temperature Sender**

Hi All

My car recently failed the NCT on emissions. The first thing I want to replace is the temperature sensor.

If anyone has a good one for sale please let me know by pm.

Anyone breaking an FTO will have one of these, alternatively they're only about €20 new so better off ruling this out by buying new - at least then you will know whether this is the actual fault or not.

My advice to you :
1. Buy new universal lambda sensor from Ebay - about €20. There is a good chance this will solve your problem
2. Buy temp sensor for €20
3. If problem still exists then you're down to the cat converter which will be the bones of €200 probably

Most of these issues are resolved after replacing 1 and 2 very cheaply - both are also DIY install if you're comfortable with a spanner

Thanks for the advise. I thought the coolant sensor would be a lot more than €20 - Where do I find one at this price? They don't seem to be on ebay
