TopCat wrote:Hi,
just asking this question on behalf of my boss. He has a Merc CLK200 (lets not start a debate on his choice of car ), it has come up for a service, and now the garage has produced a pretty long list of things that should also be done. In fairness to the garage, they are saying that some items are not priority, can could be left until a later date, but long story short, he feels he might be getting ripped of (surprise surprise). So, he is looking to get a second opinion, and is looking for recommendations in the Dublin area, and will fit Merc approved parts, so it won't impact his car service history.
Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance,
Tom
TopCat wrote:Yeah, its a Merc garage he's with at the moment. Maybe I'm being a little cynical, but no harm getting a second opinion. One example of what we're talking about is that there is a small issue with his seat (possibly a spring gone) and they're saying he needs the whole base of the seat replaced. I'm just wondering could a small (second hand even) part solve it a lot cheaper!

Probably something boring like esp or a sensor to tell you when the ashtray is full.
