Postby miss-enzo » Fri May 22, 2009 7:40 pm

So as im sure alot of our cars are from england rust is the dreaded problem!! so i know my car has some surface rust on the underneath of my car (gladly none visable or on the body work!)

so what do you do to prevent it gettin worse... im lookin at my options as i want to keep the car as long as possible and i dont want rust becoming an issue.

Interested to hear this myself... I presume you'll need to rub it down and then use primer or underseal or something.

If it's surface rust wer'e talking about?, wire brush off the worst and treat with a good rust remedy which converts the chemical composition of rust to a neutral substance. then prime and underseal  simples. Vast majority of these cars are jdm hence the importance of undersealing as they wouldn't have been undersealed in Japan.
