http://www.fto-ireland.com/forum/phpBB2 ... light=dyno

pictures and a thread.

the fact its a fuek controller & also has the ability to modify the mivec point.

but the main thein is the fuel controller can be used to add power down low and get the car runnin riht up high in the power band as its well known that teh fto's ecu adds too much fuel once the intake or exhause flow is messed with (e. induction kits and exhaust systems)

Just looking at that other thread..

Is that a different APEXi neo unit to the one you're selling here?

Just to clarify it is the same unit then? The one which you said
it cost me E150 to get mapped(E150-200)
cost me E 180 to buy NEW (ebay)

If it is the same unit then one of your price statements is untrue the one from the post you linked or the more recent price quoted, just so as we are all clear?

PS. there is nothing wrong with trying to make a profit. Misleading people to do so, is another matter entirely.

You are justifying the cost of the unit based on the RRP of €400 (as opposed to the €180 you paid for it). No problem there. The implication being that you actually paid the €400 -again no problem with that. If that's what they actaully cost and you got it cheaper then more power (or less as the case may be!) to you.

However you are overstating the price of tuning the unit to arrive at your selling price, Unless of of course the price of tuning has gone up €150 since you had it done 4 months ago. Unless you were understating the price in your original post. Which is it Dan? Or was the guy doing you a favour with the price. The problem here is your figures do not add up  Just looking for an explanantion.

Whoever buys this will have to get it remapped anyway. The map is engine specific not FTO specific.

So what you paid for mapping is irrelevant as it will need redoing unless you are selling it attached to the engine it was mapped to! :P

didnt read what i payied in the thread just took down a rough guess and threw it down!

Quite supprised how sloppy admin/mods have let this thread get seen as before it nwas kept on topic with other toopics.

Here look, I'm not really THAT bothered about the price, just spotted the inconsistancy and was wondering what the reason was?
Whatever the reason, I don't think blaming the admin/mods will get you anywhere here. Can I remind you that you wouldn't have this site (or a number of others) where you can advertise your things for free without admin/mods who give their time and get little enough praise as is!

I would say that a discussion of the price of an item, in the thread of that item, advertised for sale is very much on topic. Criticism of the admin and moderators is not warranted here. Keith there is nobody bitching here if you re read the thread, we are merely pointing out the inconsistencies of the prices being quoted.

I was trying my hardest not to get involved here.. but since you felt the need to call our mods/admin sloppy I thought I'd throw in 2 cents..

The Discussion hasn't left the topic - as what's being discussed is the method used to offer the item in question for sale. Members are simply expressing their concern that potential buyer that haven't read your other threads might feel misled after a purchase of your item - based on the advertised value of the item.

Of course this is a subjective observation - but nonetheless I feel the concern is valid and related to the Topic.

Furthermore if you do see an issue on the site that you would like addressed you're more than welcome to contact any of the Mods/Admins directly.

Keep it on topic.
