Hi All,
I have received the payment from the JJ today.
I will immediately notify the production and send the order list.
Production will take around 3 weeks.
So I am looking at mid January to send you the covers,
FedEx should take around 4 days and every buyer will be given a tracking id.
I will keep updating this topic with the status.

All,
Production has started last Monday.
I am not sure how Christmas and New year break will affect the schedule, however, I am assuming that it should all be finished by mid Jan,
Then the covers will be sent immediately.

Aus group buy which started just before this one, has been finalised and everybody has great feedback.

Most of you will realise the cracks and gaps in the front top and bottom part of the seat foams, also, the top of the foam of the back seat will be like burnt to charcoal from the sun.
These are easily fixable, depends on the crack you may try to glue it together without worrying too much are, you can fill the gap with some extra foam and glue it together.

See pic below;

I think this guy has done an excellent job with bit of extra foam and fiberglass tape.

Burnt from the what? Sun? Ours are more likely to have dampness damage or Moon rays at best. Good old Eire. :)
You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen, it said 'Parking Fine'.

Hi All,
I have just come back from holiday.
Happy new year to all of you, hope you will have a great year with lots of mods.
Regarding to seat covers, everything is going well,
We are still in production stage and looking to finalise it around mid Jan, and send the covers to you all asap.
FedEx takes around 3-4 days to arrive.
I will supply individual tracking ids to you all.

Regarding to doorcards, I previously made a diy with photos, however, somehow photos are lost.
This is a pretty easy job however, needs patience and clean working practice.

You need to use high quality brand of glue/contact adhesive.
There is heaps of residue left from previous(stock) material, so use heaps of sandpaper to get rid of it all.
Apply adequate amount of glue and use hair drier first to strength the glue then put the cover on. You need to apply pressure for a long time and keep appying the heat over the material. I have used a heavy sand bag to apply the pressure constantly.
Stuff some small bits of material to the corners to keep them tight and bent.

Hope this helps.

Hi All,
Good news,
Production is almost finished.
It should be all finalised by next tue-wed.
Then quality assurance will kick in, and every order will be checked individually to make sure the highest quality standards.
After that, FedEx Fast airmail to your address.

What about the couch? ;)

Seriously though, I'm sure a few owners could do with some, the foam on the RHS of the drivers seat has a tendancy to break down after a few years.

Does anyone have an old couch lying around that we could butcher?!

as far as I know there are still a couple of upolstry suppliers on Capel Street that sell all diffent types of foam to the public.

Capel Upholstery D.I.Y, 110 Capel St, D/1. (01) 8733162.

A.J. Upholstery Services, 56 Capel st, D/1, (01) 8732913.

Does anyone know exactly what type of glue do you use to glue the stuff onto the doorcards (I read somewhere about a spray on upolstry glue), or is it just ordinary contact adhesive (e.g. Bison).

I used what can be best described as a heavy duty upholstry glue in a can when I was installing leather door cards.

I dunno to be honest, it came from the supplier with my leather interior. PM 'Leather Bandit', he may be able to help you out on the front.

also where can we have a look at how to install the seat covers, or is there some sort of instructions included with the covers...?
