Postby power » Fri Oct 17, 2008 6:47 pm

im gonna be ordering these from ricerocket in the next week or two, ( well the girlfriend is for xmas!)
im aiming towards cream or beige. only problem is the coulor sheet they have, some of the shades can be hard to make out on the screen! wanna make sure i get it right!
so was wondering if any members with these could put up a pic or two with the shade/number, cheers guys

one problem with ordering the cream leather is that the door cards are a pain in the hoop to upholster. at least with black or grey you can use an FTO door card that came with black vinyl from factory instead.

I'd say the colours and pics in RR's ebay ad is a pretty good guide....

While you're at it, it might be worth getting some extra material.
You could get the gaitors and rear shelf to match... just an idea.

spot on colm, would they have been BG10312 in the link below?
did you have door cards in leather too? i never got to see it in the flesh unfortunately, tasty fto though
think i will order some extra material in case i decide to do the door cards. dont think i'll touch anything else! its very easy to over do it with the leather!

Hey Power, hows it goin. I've just done mine in cream leather, don't worry about picking the exact shade, when you ring ricerocket, you'll be ok with just asking for the cream, they're pretty sound.

You'll have some craic fittin them....

I've also done gaitor and arm rest, as well as dials and a few other bits...I've been meaning to put up pics n stuff for a while with links for ordering the stuff ta help anyone out (Although got most of them from here), I'll get to it now that you've reminded me....i'll sort ya out with pics and links for the arm rest n stuff. Havent got round to doing door cards or antin just yet.

just got my invoice for these, seats are €350, postage is €48, and i asked for extra to do door cards €78, total coming to €458. postage and extra material were a bit more expensive than anticipated, but for a full leather interior thats still a good price i think!

Mine's real leather... 8) cost a few quid but made a huge difference to the interior! All black with silver FTO logo in front head rests.

Anyone know a good test for determining whether something is actually 'real' leather - apart from with a lighter ?

I've seen supposedly 'real' leather seats where the actual finish has worn off them to reveal the fabric - same as you see under leatherette.

personally - I think that there are a lot of fake 'leather' car seats, sofas and all sorts that are sold as genuine.
