FTO's aren't expensive to buy - there're expensive to run (relatively speaking). As the initial cost price is so low its unlikely that anyone is gonna be stung too badly with depreciation.

In many ways its a recession-proof drive.
Though having said that its a bit like my Zed in that I don't think it really matters at what low price you try and sell it at - if there are no buyers - theres no buyers. Who wants a performance car of 2L + these days along with assoc running costs/tax/insurance etc?

Well I sold my GS only a couple of weeks back. But I think I may have been a bit lucky. I had it in the free adds for a couple of weeks when I wasn't that bothered about selling it. Then I got a bit more urge to sell (spotted one for sale I wanted) and put it on Carzone. I had about 6 people reasonably interested, along with a couple who weren't really bothered. Most were in Dublin, so didn't get round to looking at it, but 2 people brought it for test drives, the second of them ended up buying the car. Sold in less than a week.
I left the car up on carzone then out of interest, to see would there be many more calls, and there was very few in the last 2 weeks, and most of them were looking to trade in pieces of crap along with money. One guy offered me 2 cars, both with 2yrs NCT, and money for it.
So, I either sold it at just the right time, or else anyone interested in an FTO is keeping an eye on the market, and will ring very shortly after they see it for sale. Overall though, almost all the cars on carzone were there long before I put mine up, and are still there.

Forgot to point out, with your car, if the price point is anyway reasonable, I find it hard to see anyone who is interested enough to view it walking away from it. Beautiful car. :)

Rob, I think you need to point out to some readers who don't know what you have that it is actually CJs (and my) Ex FTO GPX. It's in a different league to most others to that should help you sell it! The actual car you are selling is the one being mentioned in the link:

I reckon CJ will buy iy back off you :D

You know, I'm half tempted!

Rob, suggest you consider reusing my original sales pitch, see for sale thread here:
