Well they seem to be available in 5 x 114.3 PCD - offset of 30 and I presume they can provide you with spiggot rings for the 67.1 bore.
You'll also obviously need to order relevant wheel widths and profile to suit dependant upon the size of rim you choose.

What size rim where you thinking of getting - 17 or 18 inch?

Personally I'm not sure that rim actually suits the FTO.

Whatever about the wheel itself, how handy is the 3D view?

Interesting rims. Max width you can go on the back is 8 inches just to let you know.

I ran 8.5 inch rims on my FTO - it really depends on the offset.

Im probably gonna go for 17x8 as that could give me a few options with tyres.

I'd stay with the offset that was intended for the FTO afterall Mitsi spent a lot of time and effort work on the driving dynamics etc IMO.

I've no real problems, a tiny bit of rubbing on full lock but then it is fairly low.

Interesting. Dont know what to do. Priced them from halfords. 1100-1300 depending on tyre make. 215/40/17 17x8

TBH - I think something like a set of Rotas would be a better option.
Closer to correct offset - lighter rim (less unsprung weight = better performance). Similar dosh.

I think 215 would be a bit narrow on an 8" wheel.
MFFTO makes a good point for Rotas, if I was in the market I'd give them serious consideration.

It'll be tight alright - but I had a 215 tyre on a 8.5 rim. Leaves no rim protection though - but that stretched look on the rim is all the rage these days with the young folk.

Its how I roll!

Hey fellas, what's the proper fitment of wheel for the FTO? Mine still has the standard rims and I want to get a new set ASAP.

Would personally recommend a 17inch rim (7.5 - 8 inch width)
Tyre of 215/45 17 or 225/40/17 or 235/40 17

5 x 114.3 PCD
67.1 Centre Bore (aftermarket alloys generally have a large centre bore and then just supply relevant size spiggot rings to fit).

Offset dependant upon rim but you should be ok from 32 to 40.

So for the hanzo rim the only option is 17x8. How many others have 17x8s and what rubber size have you got. Also any rubbing

A friend of mine is selling a set of 18x8s that he has on his Supra, offset 40. Are 18s generally too big? :( Also, I was reading about and thought only offset 37/38 fitted, but if 32-40 usually fit, that leaves more options 8)

In what respect? Are they not good for the car, or do you mean it makes it less comfortable to drive? (bumpier etc.)

Cheers

Bumpier harder ride.
You'll prolly have to remove the inner arches or at least tie them back as well.

I have finally managed to get a few bob together and hope to splash out on the Hanzos this week. I have got a good deal from a friend in the business . I have some issues still that Im not sure about.
I am deffinately going for the Hanzo in 17x8.(smallest size avail)
I have been offered a choice between Eagle F1 and Potenza.
I have Potenza REO50A on the RX8 and they are the business so I will probably go with them,
My friend recomended 215/45/17.
Should I go with this or 215/40/17 & would anyone pick F1s over Potenza's.
Car is dropped 45 & 25 like most.
Your opinions would be appreciated greatly before I part with a months worth of overtime cash.

don't go for 215/40.

that's what I have on mine, you need 45 profile to fill out the arches.

Still not a fan of these rims - they are likely to date very quickly.
IMO you'd be better off putting your RX8 rims onto the FTO and getting a new set of rims for the Rex (still not dotz though).

I've had the RE050's and the Eagle F1's on the FTO and they are both a very high quality performance tyre - neither will disappoint . 215/45/17 would be my preferred tyre choice for comfort and asthectic reasons - keep an eye on the rim offset though or you will have rubbing on the front. I'd have a preference for an offset in the low 30's on either 17 or 18inch rim to prevent rubbing and keeping the rims level with the arch (not sitting a mile inside).
