My front left has gone pop and now sounds like a box of rice krispies.
I only have an ALDI stereo so dont want to go off and buy a super set, so anyone got an original they dont want?

just replace with 16.5mm (check) speakers. On my last FTO I got great Alpine ones from Halfords for around €35.
Arrgos also do good deals on speakers, but at least you can have a look at them and listen in Halfords. (avoid speakers that stick out too much in the middle as they may hit the door grilles)
I think I have standard ones somewhere, but you're as well replaceing with new ones.
