Plugs -- Denso Iridiums IK22 (can be got on ebay easily(and cheaply) in from usa)

Oil -- Duckhams Q Fully synthetic 5w 40

I think some of the other threads said a 0w40 oil might be too light at start up? i could be wrong though. didn't check all the other threads.

Denso Iridium plugs. I've always used 10W40 semi synth (GTX Magnatec) but I'm graduating towards 5W30 fully synth (I use it in the VR-4) - I've yet to try it in the GX. I know that the last oil that went into the GX in Japan was 10W30, I've not seen this grade over here before.

Denso Iridiums (IK20 for the GR, as against IK22 for the Mivec engines)
Shell Helix 5W40 oil.

If you are buying off ebay remember they usually come in sets of 4, you'll need 6 for the GR/GPX engine.

Its a particular model of spark plug, at least partly to do with the width of the gap for the spark. I don't know what other differences there are, probably size, threading, that kinda thing.

It'll do other cars than the FTO too, I guess like you found the S2000.

Nearly forgetting the gearbox oil... is your tip or manual again?

Edit: Manual gearbox:
http://www.fto-ireland.com/forum/phpBB2 ... earbox+oil

Ref to workshop manual 1, page 22-3 (pg 272 of 351 pdf) Recommended grade 75W-90 or 75W-85W conforming to API GL-4.

Automatic:

Note to self, must get around to doing this, not having any problems, just a proactive measure.

Those are the ones for the Mivec engine, IK22. Can't keep track of who as what engine/gearbox these days :smt101 so assuming yours is a GPX/GPvR they'll do for yours alright.

not worth a new thread but how much engine oil would you need? Hope to get my car back 2m and start enjoying that 'Mivec experience!' Still needs a good bit of bodywork though. Actually as I talking about it... I have 4 holes on the boot lid where the original spoiler came off. Can I get these filled in and sprayed to match?

no, i've what i think is a veilside spoiler on it at the moment. Thats just clipped onto the side. Never got the Version R spoiler with the car so ive just got the holes. Personally though I quite like the spoiler thats on there now. Admittedly it needs tidying but the holes will drive me nuts!

If you contact the guy who sold you the car, I'll collect that spoiler for you.

Thanks colm but unfortunately I lost my phone awhile back with his number! I did have it on a printed sheet of paper which i thought i left in the car but i dunno what i did with it. Im always loosing things so its nothing new. Just a case of bad luck I think... Would have been nice to get my hands on it though...

You might be able to get a list of dialled numbers from your provider.
Worth a shot...

Well I think the short answer on that is yes, but how much, I'm not sure.
