At last....

Postby iwannafto » Thu Aug 11, 2005 8:56 am

At last I'm the proud owner of an FTO (due in no small part to a lot of help from Neil....once again, cheers Neil...she goes like a dream). Its a 1997 GX manual, symphonic silver (a great colour even if I do say so myself), 66k mls on the clock and in perfect condition. I think I may have to get this stupid grin :D surgically removed as I haven't stopped smiling since taking delivery yesterday. At least now I'll actually have something to talk about on the forum....being one of the lucky few to own an FTO!!!

I'm liking that colour - Neil seems to have more photos of your car than his on his album.

Nice wheels too - Are you gonna make the Dublin meet on Saturday?

Nice one IWFTO, It looks great! The contrast between steel and symphonic silver is quite striking as the pic below shows, I'm a big fan of trhe latter myself.

Clear indictor pods would really finish off that front end, other than it, its a cracking looking jammer.

Glad youre enjoying it iwannafto (time for a name change?!), thats by far the best/cleanest fto i've found yet.. sad to see her actually!

The symphonic silver is a great colour too, much better in the flesh than I had previously thought.. even makes my own look a bit shoddy beside it actually

It was made Feb 1997, I think the facelift happened around March/April 1997.
It was actually exactly what I was going for as I wanted a pre-facelift at the time, (in hindsight though I shouldve gotten myself a facelift as theyve really grown on me..)
