You get used to seeing inflated BHP figures with FTO's, this one is particularly outrageous though not even the shopping list, horrible mats and extra tachometer could give it 40 extra horses

that's an ex- club car .. changed a good few owners lately and got sold every time very cheap i'd check that 10 times before I put my money down...

What a brutal advert for an FTO even disregarding the BS power claim - dreadful spelling and wtf is "climatronic", "basket seats" or "mcpershon" suspension. And I also wouldn't be trying to sell it on the strength of its "Autoguard" tyres - you couldn't actually put a worse tyre on your car - they make Nankangs look like F1 tyres.

Ads like this would immediately put me off buying a car.

Looks ok for a grand. Check for rust underneath as it hasn't been NCT'd in a good while

thats what i thought 1k is good value and i'd never pay any attention to whats written in an ad if the pic looks ok and the price is right its worth a visit so you can check it out and take a test drve etc

My problem is that on face value the ad looks like it was written by a muppet - and I would rather pass on it than deal with someone who knows nothing of what they are driving or how to run an FTO. The FTO is of an age where it must be maintained properly otherwise its going to be a money pit - 1K buying price or not.
